Proper guitar<\/a><\/strong><\/span> care requires meticulous attention to several fundamental aspects.<\/span><\/p>\n

Basic daily dare<\/span><\/h2>\n

Cleaning after each use is essential. Use a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints, sweat, and dust from the surface. This will prevent dirt buildup and protect the instrument’s finish.<\/span><\/p>\n

Environmental control<\/span><\/h2>\n

The proper environment is crucial for preserving the instrument. Keep the guitar:<\/span><\/p>\n

    The fingerboard is the only wood that isn’t protected with varnish, therefore it has open pores. At Mariano Conde, we do not recommend using any cleaning liquids or trendy “magic oils” under any circumstances.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Regularly check for:<\/span><\/p>\n

    • Scratches and impacts that could lead to cracks and fissures<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Proper greasing between the “crown and worm gear” of the tuning machines<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Proper storage<\/span><\/h2>\n

      When not in use, the guitar should be:<\/span><\/p>\n

      • Stored in its hard case or custom display cabinet<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Kept in a vertical position<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Placed in a location with stable temperature<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Do not place the guitar in the upper part of a cabinet since heat concentrates in the upper parts of rooms.<\/span><\/p>\n

        If the guitar won’t be used for an extended period, two things are recommended: lower the string tension by one or two tones (removing them is not advisable) and periodically open the case for proper ventilation.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Preventive maintenance<\/span><\/h2>\n

        Regular inspection helps identify potential problems before they worsen. Periodically check for signs of wear on:<\/span><\/p>\n
